Specializing in shelving made with genuine, reclaimed wood from barns across Lancaster County, the Urban Legacy team works hard everyday to keep you satisfied and inspired. Lancaster County boasts a rich history of hard-working farmers, which translates beautifully into each of our handcrafted products. We have partnered with several local Amish artisans who help to maintain the amazing history of this well-known agricultural region through their skillful work.
Recently, Urban Legacy has added a Modern Hardwood line featuring products made of brand new maple, oak, and black walnut wood. These products add a contemporary feel to your space and are handcrafted by the same Amish artisans who bring our reclaimed products to life. At Urban Legacy, we are passionate about quality craftsmanship and the beauty of historic wood. That's why, when our journey with reclaimed barn wood shelving began, we teamed up with local Amish craftsmen. The saw cuts, nail holes, and weathered textures of the wood are all naturally occurring from years in Lancaster County barns. Our Amish partners skillfully build shelves from this wood and shape the raw steel brackets. From the beginning, our intentions have been clear: deliver the highest quality products while preserving the time-honored traditions of Lancaster County, PA. We are proud to say that our approach is still the same.
These one-of-a-kind reclaimed barn wood shelves are exquisite examples of Amish woodwork, and they are teeming with character and history. From the fine wood grain patterns to the authentic weathering marks, every inch of these shelves has something to say!
The shelves are available in various lengths (18", 24", 30", 36", 40", and 48") and in two different depths (4.5" or 7") to suit your needs. Additionally, these shelves are available in Natural (no stain), White Washed, or Coffee Bean.

Urban Legacy Oak Shelves"p" Sealed with an ancient Japanese charring process called Shou-Sugi-Ban, Urban Legacy Oak Shelves display the intricate grain pattern of this modern hardwood. The Shou-Sugi-Ban process is chemical free, and it creates a beautiful finish for the oak planks. These shelves are available in Torched Oak, Oiled Torched Oak (which gives the wood a bronzy look), and Torched Oak Coffee (a darker hue). Each shelf has a 100 lb. weight capacity. |
